SAMs has best of west charcoal. Not bad has choke snap crackle pops so not completely turned to lump. Pretty good price $20 for 40#.

Wassup Braddahs and Braddahettes.  Semi new to smoking just been smoking on my Weber but built an UDS and learning the fine tuning of it.  First burn and cook was a brisket starting at 200 got it up to 300 2 3/4" vents open.  Gonna try some ribs but going to add more lit lump or somehow use my weed burner to light more in the basket before lidding.  SHOOTS!

Resurecting an old thread.  UDS808 ever got the smoker up for you and dad?  Hope all went well.  Other way to cold smoke is to build a small smoke house use the barrel as a smoke generator and pipe the smoke in.  Check out that Alaska show of the homesteaders, similar idea.

As of right now, this is the only sanctioned BBQ event in HI.....which means an Auto-Jack.  All four categories with ancillaries of Poke and Chili on July 3rd. 

We'll be there with a new approach this year.
