Anyone have a line on Kiawe charcoal on Oahu.  I really like the flavor it gives chicken and want to use it to smoke a duck and turkey.

I'd suggest calling Kiawe Hawaii at 259-7226, they're out in Waimanalo.  I think they also have Guava wood sometimes.

Also, keep an eye on Craigslist.  Seems like Kiawe wood shows up 1-2 times a month.  As a matter of fact...... http://honolulu.craigslist.org/oah/grd/3016082832.html

Best of luck.  Let us know what you find.

Honestly, no idea where to get it.  We burn Kingsford Blue and toss on a few chunks of our favorite fruitawoodchunks.com wood. Check them out....free shipping to HI.
